Equipped with a keyboard, I strive to fuel the movement of remote work forward one word at a time. In my articles, I explore every facet of untethered careers from fair treatment of freelancers, to how remote jobs can rescue small town economies, to simultaneously thriving in a personal and professional life from the same room. You can find a complete library of my writing here.

Want to introduce your audience to the world of remote work? Let's do it! I'll host a private webinar for your group that includes an education presentation, a panel discussion with guests of your choice, and Q&A with event attendees. (Watch a sample webinar here.) Here are some of my favorite topics to discuss:
Welcome to Remote Work: Learn how working in a virtual role is different than in working in an office and what it takes to be successful without a local team.
Virtual Team Collaboration:How to get together on projects, culture, and goals... without getting together.
The Virtual Job Market: What options are available to workers that don’t want to commute to an office, and where to find them.
The Online Hiring Process: What to expect during a job search and how to impress any virtual employer.
I'm not just all talk. I've been an Events and Operations Manager for over a decade and continue to work with reputable distributed companies around the world to maximize their virtual cultures and workflows.

In 2017, I initiated and wrote a remote work advice series for Yonder called "Remotips." Those articles were some of the most popular on the Yonder blog, so I started collecting more and more ideas about how to easily make remote work.... well, work. By 2018, my queue for remotips filled up so much that it started overflowing into twitter as a daily remotip series. That's where you'll find them living and thriving today. Come on over to read tips like....
"If you’re getting irritated with a member of your virtual team, schedule a 30-minute coffee break video call with them. Talk about anything other than work."
"Mobile devices are TERRIBLE for ergonomics. To resolve, pay attention to your chin - it should be 90 degrees to your ribs. Hint: That means that your screen should be much higher than it is probably is right now."
"If you attended any online classes during college, mention it during a remote job interview. It shows a distributed company that you have experience working autonomously with virtual tools."
My messages of advocacy extend well beyond the written word, including both live and virtual audiences. If you’re looking to learn more about remote work, here's where you can hear more from me:
